Why we use it and our legal basis
We use your form data only to reply to your request, to discuss a possible project, and to prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
Our legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are:
- Steps before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): when you ask us about a project, we need your details to answer and to prepare a quote.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): to follow up on your request, keep a record of our conversation, and protect the form against abuse.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): you tick a box to confirm you agree to us using your form data as described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
We use the page and campaign data only to understand which pages and channels bring us enquiries. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling. We will not add you to a newsletter unless you ask for it separately.
How long we keep it
- If you do not become a client: we delete your form data 24 months after our last contact with you.
- If you become a client: we keep the data we need for the contract and for our legal duties, such as tax records, for as long as the law requires.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner. See “Your rights” below.
Where your data is stored
Form submissions are stored on our own server in the European Union, hosted by DigitalOcean. The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS).
We may forward a copy of each enquiry to our business email and to a customer relationship management (CRM) tool, so we can reply and keep track of the conversation. If we do, we use providers that process the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. If any of these providers transfers data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
We only give access to people who need it to answer your request.
Analytics
We measure visits with Umami, an analytics tool that we host ourselves. Umami does not use cookies. We use it to see aggregate numbers, such as page views, referring websites, browser type, device type and approximate country. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not share this data with advertisers.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies. That is why you do not see a cookie banner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- rectification of data that is wrong or incomplete
- erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- restriction of how we use your data
- data portability: get your data in a common, machine-readable format
- object to our use of your data based on legitimate interest
- withdraw your consent at any time
To use any of these rights, email hello@beyondinnova.com. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
